Weathered Wagon

Linking to Shadow Shot Sunday 2

I am not sure why this wagon is hiding under a tree but I saw it and turned my car around to get a snapshot of it.

One summer day, I drove to Goblin Valley. It was just the four of us: my mom, my daughter was 8 and my son was 6. The drive is about 4 hours south of Salt Lake City. I had a red jeep cherokee with 4 wheel drive and wanted to try it out on a cow trail.  The trail through Goblin Valley was a dirt trail with boulders in the road.

We were doing fine until we came across a creek that we had to ford.  I sat there, got out and looked to see how deep the creek was. It was close to 4 feet deep. I kept wondering if we could do it. As we sat there, a car came up on the other side and drove right through the creek.  Well, if a car can do it, I certainly could because my jeep was a lot higher off the ground.  So off we went and I forded my first creek.

Strange to find a wagon in the middle of nowhere. Do you think they had just forgotten about it?

What a frightening story, but it makes me want a Jeep, they can do anything! Do you have one now? This old wagon with the barrels of plants on it is so clever!

I would also be careful of driving through a creek. Nice image!

Neat looking wagon and what a fun story. It's great to accomplish something when we think we can't.

I like this wagon under the tree. I think there is enough shadows for the flowers.

That sounds adventurous to cross a creek and to drive 4 hours. A creek we can't cross here, you would fell in, and after 4 hours we are in France or Germany!
