Farmer's Market in Czestochowa

I had no idea what these items of food were but when I got home, I looked up the words and I'll be darn if all of them on the stand are types of cheeses.  If I had known that, I would have bought some for a taste.

I don't know if the gigantic bread rounds could fit in my oven. I have never seen such large portions of bread.
I thought that these were pretzels (swieze obwarzanki means fresh bagels) so I was close.

Fun little tied up ribbons and bows of garlic.

I am the biggest blueberry fan there ever was and I couldn't get over how large these blueberries were.
I didn't know that Tupperware was abounding in Europe.

While viewing the farmer's market, three groups of people came marching down the center esplanade singing with their group or chanting in Polish.  It was the most astonishing thing to witness. There were at least 100 in each group on a pilgrimage to Jasna Gora with their Priest.  Also as I left Czestochowa on a bus, miles from the city was another group were marching on the road toward Czestochowa on their pilgrimage.

What a wonderful opportunity for you to get to go to Polland! Wonderful pictures. I've never seen cheeses like that.

What a market experience! Those blueberries are magnificent (I also am a blueberry-lover). The bread we get here seems to be getting smaller and smaller, so it seems overwhelming to see such huge loaves in Poland.

Wow! That must have been a sight to behold. Everything is arranged so nicely. Next time you'll be daring...and find out it's squid. lol too bad you didn't know it was cheese!

Glorious abundance. And everything super large. I would have bought all the cheese and bread, and gone bankrupt! It is all beautifully displayed, too. The cheese stand is especially beautiful. And then you got the added fun of watching the pilgrimages, too.

That is one FANTASTIC Farmer's market! I'd have to buy some bread, some cheese, some blueberries and go on a picnic with some bottled water!

Hi Ruth,

So enjoyed following you around this most colourful farmer's market, chock full of tasty treats. I would have bought way too many bagels, at least a big chunk of cheese, and all the blueberries I could carry, since they are a favourite of mine, too, and sadly, we don't get them here on the island!
