Wedding Photo 1881

Harry and Julia in their wedding photo

Henry whose nickname was Harry was raised in
Plain City, Utah but his father, Henry Sr.
came from Herefordshire, England in 1850.
His father stayed in St. Louis, Missouri for two years
while earning enough money to cross the plains.
He finally made it to Utah in 1852. Harry Jr.
name his first son Henry and he was called
Harry.

So we have Harry 1, Harry 2 and Harry the third. A generation was skipped and my uncle was named Henry and went by Harry.

A noble name, indeed. I never realized that Harry was a nickname for Henry. Learn something new everyday.

I Recently read why no one smiles in these very old pictures. It is because it took so long and they could not hold a smile for that length of time. They are a VERY handsome coupe!!
