Who would ever think that a gigantic amazing garden
would be planted in the middle of the dry
arid desert next to the rocky mountains?
Two of my swim friends and I had
lunch at Thanksgiving Point and
enjoyed the garden at the tulip
fest.
Anyone for red?
A little stream flows into the Monet pond
that has lilly pads. The lily pads will have
flowers later in the season.
Each year 5,000 tulips are planted. There were not all red.

We were delighted to find that a new
section of sculptures were being
added to the gardens.
They are calling this section the
Light of the World
Light of the World
Garden. Each full sized
sculpture will include a scene from the
scriptures with Christ in each
scene. Jesus walking on water and
Jesus healing the woman who
touched his robe.
Each scene was already sculpted by
Angela Johnson in
miniature surrounding Christ
walking on water. Christ
carrying the cross was also
full size.

Looks like a lovely place to have lunch....I think that my eyes would have been so busy feasting that my stomach would have done without!! I particularly loved the sculptures of Christ. Thanks Joan
