Light and Dark Contrast

Stormy day showing light and dark contrast. It is so cloudy that you cannot even see the mountains.

Took a picture of the backside of a waterfall from within a rock wall that had a peeky hole.

Joining Friday's My Town Shoot Out.

Hi Ruth, I like the photo from the back of the waterfall. We have similar ones taken when we visited Niagara falls!

The second picture is just so unusual, I love everything about it! Our mountains look like this a lot, very low clouds, it is lovely, sometimes you can drive right through a cloud!

Yes. The clouds are beautiful, but the shot from behind the falls is a once in a lifetime shot - it's a winner.

I have never been behind a waterfall. I think it must be so magical a feeling. So I'm jealous of your second picture. But you can keep the first - it looks like rain is on the way. :-)

That waterfall shot is intriguing. I had to read your description to see what it was.

No doubt in my mind I must pick the second shot for a spot light.

I loved the first shot...then saw the second. I agree with Peggy, the second shot is a Spotlighter for sure. A perfect contrast and a rare shot.
