Shoot Out in England - Friday's White on White

I picked two of my very favorite photos which I shot while traveling in England. The first is of the Pandy Inn in Dorstone, Herefordshire showing the sign and a white building on a cloudy day plus a little lichen in the corner.

My second choice was the house in Thorton le Dale in Yorkshire, from what I've read, is the most photographed house in England.
It was a sunny day so I didn't need to warm the photo. I did not get the small stream that meanders in front of it but I think the white trimmed window pains and white clouds stand out.

Linking to My Town Photo Shootout with the theme of white on White. Thanks for all the comments from my new blog friends.

I can understand why the house is the most photographed house in England, it is lovely. I wonder what it looks like inside.* Sigh*

I used to live in a place like the second shot! This was in North Essex where there are quite a lot of 'chocolate box' cottages. Why oh why did I move?! Have a lovely weekend. Chel x

Beautiful Yorkshire house ...oh how I miss England in all its splendor . Spent three lovely years there when I was much younger, have always longed for a visit back ! Thank you for the glimpse, it was splendid!

I love both of these photos. It is so funny to see this house with am antenna on the roof!! I guess a family lives there and no one can tour?

Oh, I have never been to England ... I live vicariously through British novels though. :) I love that thatched roof house. That is one reason FMTSO is so great, we get to see so many parts of the world.

I've never been to Thornton le Dale, we'll have to have a little jaunt when we're over that way.

No wonder that house is so often photographed, it's beautiful. Bet most photos aren't as good as yours though.
