The sign is right on!!! I love Monterey. We went there quite often, mainly to visit the Aquarium which we love. I also like Pacific Grove right next to Monterey with its beautiful lighthouse at the coast.
Monterey is one of my very favorite places, probably because I have a dear friend nearby in Watsonville. We have been there many times to eat fish on the wharf...like it better than in San Francisco.
I love the sign! And what a beautiful cottage! Is this where you stayed? I have heard that Monteray is so beautiful! There is even a song about it. I cannot remember who sang it, some band from the sixties maybe.
