Provo

Tis the season for red and green - who remembers tinsel?  I remember spending a lot of time putting tinsel on our trees and then taking them off again to reuse the next year.

Lights on the windows of the Provo Mall.

I don't care if that bearded man is going to give me a treat, I want down.

This pathway reminded me of the "follow the yellow brick road" except it is a dark marble in the hospital path with lights reflecting from above. They keep those floors polished!

I remember tinsel and we had to quit using it when our cats started to eat it, I love the silly stuff!

The shot of the kiddos are priceless. Brings back grand memories. Wow I remember the tinsel. Our mom would let us just pitch it on and laugh at us. Our grandmother did not want it that way. She wanted it all hung neat and tidy. LOL Thanks for that memory. Blessings of Christmas to you and yours.

Oh Ruth that photo of the fireplace was taken at our daughter's home. Her two children insist on leaving hay for the reindeer. Thanks for your visit.

Oh I remember tinsel. My mother used to make us crazy. When we took the tree down, we had to save the tinsel to use the next year. What a pain especially since we liked to just throw it in clumps on the tree! With such bad behavior, I'm surprised Santa left any gifts under the tree for me and my sibs!!

Merry Christmas!!

I remember tinsel. But I no longer have tinsel and the Christmas tree. I'm a little bit lazy :)
I love the cute kid with Santa Claus

Happy Christmastime.

Lovely Christmassy photos especially the snowy mountains.

The kid in Santa's lap is a hoot! And the Wasatch Mountains behind the Christmas lights are wonderful - I spent a lot of time in that neck of the woods and have fond memories of those hills.

I used to use tinsel and still think it looks pretty but I don't use it anymore.

I wonder what hidden trama we inflick with these face Santas..... Lol. Love the first shot of the tree. I took photo after photo of my tree trying for this shot, problem is my tree isn't as pretty. I love the small bows. Have a merry Christmas! give those babies a hug for me. ( I hated tinsel and the thought made me shudder)

Your grands are TOO cute! To the bearded man's defense, though, he makes a mighty fine Santa!

Merry Christmas, Ruth!

Hi Ruth,

Wishing you and your family a magical Christmas filled with love and laughter. Best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year. Your grandchildren are adorable even if they aren't fond of Santa :-)

I loved tinsel on the Christmas tree but it did tend to get tracked through the house, but how sparkly it made the tree look. Now that we are retired we have a Charlie brown of a Christmas tree -- a small artificial one with fiber optic lights. But when we placed it in front of our large hutch mirror, it didn't look too bad after all. (this is our first Christmas in this house).

Yep, I remember tinsel, messy but pretty on the tree. I have a pic of my daughter screaming her head off on Santa's lap. I felt bad at the time but it's precious to me now! Hope you had a great Christmas. -Dawn
