Linking to Good Fences
This chain link fence is new and very sturdy but the house is rather a shambles. Can you imagine rebuilding trying to save this house from just falling down. It was probably a pioneer home built on the northern shores of Bear Lake, Idaho.

Like the home! It's very old yes! When you are living in this house you are very lonely as child.
Looks like the fence is more valuable than the house...I like the house best.
Creative photo of the fence and house ~ (even if house is a shambles) there is something beautiful about it ~
Happy Week to you ~
Hello, The house needs some help and love. Great fence find.
Have a happy day and weekend ahead!
Thank you for visiting my blog Ruth. Yes, it is an old and quite small house but as they say "characterful" and would be wonderful if improved sympathetically.
The owl you referred to is in fact an adult and collecting food for nearby youngsters, Barn Owls can breed in their second year.
Hi Ruth, it must have been a pretty place in his heyday. Makes a great shot for Good Fences. Thank you so much for visiting me. I have enjoyed popping over. Have a great day :)
Oh I can imagine the stories that it holds. B
Hello!:) The house still has a certain charm, and if given some loving restoration it would look great in a perfect setting. A good fence find!:)
I am thinking it was beautiful when it was in good condition. would take a lot of money to restore it.
such a cute home and an awesome view!!!!
poor old thing. yes, it's a juxtaposition of old and new, for sure!
lovely vintage house
Its a cute house, hope they can save the house.
It's probably beyond saving but how great to get some good photos of it now! Hugs!
Oh, my...it does need some work!
I like the look of the house - hope it gets saved!
I hope they are planning to bring it back to it's old self again. Surely they will because right now it looks like it might not make it another five years.
the fence is probably there to keep people out ot the danger zoon. :)
Strange about the new fence with the run-down house. I hope they someday fix it up. I bet it was a beauty in its time.
It always makes me sad when a home is let to go..... this actually looks like people are living in it, I hope they do have plans to fix it up. And oh gosh we loved RVing at Bear Lake -- one of our favorite places ev er.
