Old Town Shootout

I wanted to post the last part of my January adventure. It turned out to be one of the most enjoyable days of my whole trip.

Following the signs from the freeway that run throughTucson, I drove right to the turn off for Old Town Tucson. The road was one of those small roller coaster roads with dips and twists and ups and downs.  Just driving it was a hoot!

A horse stable in the middle of town.

Ye ole gun fight in the street with an Irish cowboy named McCarthy. The sheriff told the drunk to leave town but he ....

Ended up in a gun fight.  What is it with those people who get drunk and want to fight?

Does anyone recognize this building? My daughter's favorite movie was shot here called "The Three Amigos" with Steve Martin ....  That line from the tall pole was one that he used to slide down to the ground.

To me, this was the best show in town with another gun fight. See the cowboy climbing the ladder.

Surprise, the other cowboy pushed him and the ladder off and down he went. We were all gasping at such a long fall.

The third cowboy shot the guy on top the building.

If you look close, you can see the 2nd cowboy falling just past the 2nd window after he got shot.

I gotta hand it to these stuntmen. they put on a spectacularly funny and interesting show.  My Canadian friends and I were in awe.
