Sunlit Sunday Lily Pond

A glorious sunny day in Monterey where I thought I'd get a lovely photo of the flower in the lily pond but to my amazement, another reflection appeared.  Accidental delights happen often when I try to capture life.

Bless this Sabbath Day to keep it Holy.

  1. Just beautiful! I love the surprise reflection :) Lily ponds are so serene and peaceful. I need to go to Monterey with the kids! I have yet to go to the aquarium with them! Shame on me. We are right outside of Sacramento! No excuse. It's so beautiful there!

  3. There is something calm and soothing about looking at a lily pond. It did, indeed, provide an opportunity to show two kinds of reflections.

Thank you for sharing the pond at "Sunlit Sunday" this week.

  8. Lovely lily pond. I can hardly wait to see that color of green again. It is so brown here. That's when it's not white from snow.

  11. Hi Ruth...That was an amazing photograph. Who was the person in the reflection?

Got caught up with your blog posts. Loved the love birds and the sweet children. Are they your grandchildren?

Thanks so much for your visits and comments on my blog. Susan

  12. Hi Ruth, first of all thanks for dropping by at my blog. I got my Hotchkiss family name from my husband. They are the Hotchkiss here in Michigan and we are a plenty here, lol! My brother in law is doing the genealogy too and for sure somewhere down the road we all Hotchkiss'es are relatives. He told me the family years ago about 1818 came down here in Michigan from Connecticut. What I notice with the Hotchkiss they have a distinct blue eyes just beautiful. Do you notice that too?
So nice to hear from you for the past years I have not known any Hotchkiss that is also blogging now I found one hehehehe. Hope to hear from you soon!!
