Wadley Farms turned its land into a fancy Cinderella property. It is tucked away in an Orem neighborhood and no one would ever know it was there unless they were invited or accidentally drove by the place.
Wadley Farm Reception Areas
As we entered this wonderland of flowers and Irish greenery, we passed a scalloped three-tiered stone fountain. The grounds were delightful and there were numerous custom-made stone castles - you can't beat that! As we entered the French doors to the first building, a sparkling chandelier drew our attention. After signing the guest registry, we walked past the center table toward the Tuscany style fireplace.
The Bride and Groom were about 18 or 19 (to be so young is unusual for weddings these days). After going through the congratulatory line which consisted only of the bride and groom, we headed for the goodie table. To my amazement, there were donuts and individual chocolate milk and white milk cartons. Never in all my years have I ever seen donuts and milk at a wedding reception. I have seen a ice cream sundae bar at a wedding reception and it too was serve yourself. There were also a variety of cakes and an enormously tall glass punch dispenser. It was a serve yourself affair.
After visiting with friends, we walked around the grounds and saw two more buildings being built with the same rock. Apparently, business is so good that they are expanding so that more than one function can be held at a time.

Baby Shoes
My daughter brought home a pair of size 2-3 pink crocs for the baby - yes, they are cutesy!
About the time that she is walking, they will fit her. I can see her walking down the beach in them, for in one week my family is moving to California. It's a long way from where I live and I hope that I can manage to keep from being down in the dumps.
My daughter has collected a variety of shoes but as we all know, babies don't really need shoes or hats - putting them on the baby are just extremely adorable, like seeing new born kittens or puppies.
These darling size 1 moccasins actually fit now but she spends all of her time trying to put them in her mouth and at this stage of babyhood, she can put toes in her mouth.
Searching through the baby drawer, I found two more delightful size 2 shoes:
Sandals for summer from Teeny Toes.
Every wardrobe needs a set of black dress shoes.
The sandals fit now even though they are size 2. Go figure! Have you ever tried to take photos of a baby? It's like trying to take pictures of animals, they won't hold still for even one minute.
She can't wiggle her legs as much while sitting.
If you look really close, there is actual hair growing but you almost need a magnifying glass.
These Circo size 3 shoes have little pink rhinestones glued to them - not sure that it's a good idea for babies or toddlers. She loves to pick at things and put them in her mouth because that is what babies do - everything goes right to that tiny twee mouth.
I bronzed my kids baby shoes which saves them for at least my lifetime.
They had bits of lace.
The above honkers were my son's baby boots. They are not very small but he also had enormous feet. He was wearing a size 12 men's shoe before he ever got out of High School.

British Wedding Hats
I have never had a desire to attend or see the royals weddings but I must admit that the hats that are worn are very interesting and stylish and of course, some are outlandish. The one that Bea wore at Kate's wedding - well, I think she just wants attention or someone should give her some advice in her attire.
How about this one? It seems to be more of something on her forehead.
I like butterflies but this is a bit much.
A giant platter with feathers.
This one is like wearing two bowls together.
I love the azure blue dress - the hat looks like a little tiny blue canoe.
Here's Zara with a sun shader.

The Royals
Did you know Zara Phillips? I didn't. I guess I don't keep up with the royals. According to the latest royal wedding, Zara Phillips was married to her boyfriend of 8 years. Eight years is a mighty long time - why the wait?
Zara is the granddaughter of the Queen. Her mother Princess Anne and Zara wore the same tiara at their weddings. Originally the tiara was given to the Queen as a gift in 1947. Princess Alice wore the tiara first, thus it could be a royal tradition.
She married a Rugby player, Mike Tindal.
Hats are very interesting at the royal weddings. This one looks a little one sided.
Kate in two different hats.
I gotta admit, the British beat us for stylish hats. I think America is nuts about shoes.

When I Get Older
I hear people say, "I'll search my roots when I get older and have more time." The problem with this is that you can't view what you will be like in the future. You may not have the health you once had or you may not be able to get around like you used to. Somewhere in time, energy starts to slip away and you can't do what you used to do. It now takes longer.
If you really want to do something, don't wait until you are older. Do it now. Do it a little at a time but do it now. The future is always unstable.
Who would ever think that we'd see this in our future? Talk about being creative; who wants one? There's even room for catsup or mustard.
Buds forever.
I wonder what year this was taken?

It Wasn't Called a Bucket List
I remember when I first desired to see all the fascinating places in the world when I was a kid. We heard about them in school, of course, but it was when I discovered one of the rooms in the 4-room school (not including the bathrooms) that had floor to ceiling bookshelves full of books. The books that took my eye were the National Geographic with it's golden rim outlining the cover picture. There were full page sized photographs in rich wonderful colors on page after page. Somewhere in time, this magazine has lost some of the richness by adding more text and much smaller photos. The old brick schoolhouse was still being used except only one room was used for five grades. Each row was a different grade. All of the junior high and high school students were bussed to another town. There was no internet - just encyclopedias and books.
It was not a bucket list but I had dreams of going to see the Pyramids in Egypt.
Dreams of climbing the tallest mountain in the lush green Andes in South America - perhaps Machu Picchu.
I wanted to go to Siam and see the exquisite graceful dancers with their unique golden costumes. I wanted to watch them dance and even learn how they moved their heads and fingers.
How do they move their hands and fingers - I am sure it takes intense practicing since they were children.
Not that it was last but I wanted to visit Poland because my father's side of the family was Polish. It used to get my goat when my father and grandmother spoke Polish so that I couldn't tell what they were saying. He knew Polish; I did not!

Owls
Today I ran across a real artist who uses recycled items and makes robots from them. They are all too too cute. If they were't so darn expensive, I'd buy one.
Thus, I decided to give tribute to Will.
In case you are as interested in this artist as I am, I am attaching his web address:

I have a new obsession: owls. I am determined to make a pair of owl earrings. They need to have jeweled eyes, no plain silver or gold. I am a bit fussy. I never knew that there were so many different varieties of owls. I added some to Pinterest and found these wonderful photos:
I wish that I knew where these birds are but I have a feeling that they are across the ocean somewhere.
Whoever painted this, congrats!
