Unforgettable Adonis

Vitalio was tall with dark eyes and dark
hair.  He was not 45 but 62.
He had natural rhythm
 and easily learned basic steps.

 I taught
him the authentic jitterbug (not the west coast
swing nor the east coast swing
that they do nowadays) but the
real old fashioned jitterbug from my
teen days.

I taught him a two step,
the Fox trot, part of a waltz and
a simple cha cha. (Not all in one
evening but several.)

By the time I finished, no one even
knew that I was leading him
around on the dance floor.
His brother Alex had
talked him into coming on
this Mexican Rivera cruise.
Alex, by the way, just
happened to be a professional
ballroom dance instructor from
California. We tripped the
light fantastic a couple of
times on the dance floor.

Sparks were flying from this
Aries woman. I was in my
element. There was no
embarrassing pauses. We
talked non stop and danced
every evening.

As he gazed into my eyes, he said "you
have no wrinkles in your face"! What?
What an adorable off-handed complement!

He asked me to go swimming with
 him in the morning.
We met up at the breakfast bar.

It was a rough and rocky morning
with the ship rockin its way back to
California so I had to hang onto his arm to
keep my balance (notice I said
HAD TO).  Let me tell you about
muscles - well maybe not but
there was no lack of muscles.
All three pools on
the ship were closed so we
opted to do a hot tub
date.

My old heart just throbs when I
think about that date.

So funny that he hadn't known how to dance with his brother being a dance teacher! So I guess you never continued the relationship because of being long distance? A very nice story, I think I might still dream about it if I were you.
